NEIGHBORHOOD CODE STANDARDS |
- Mailboxes and posts should be in good repair
- Fences should be standing upright and in good repair
- Windows should be neat in appearance from the street (blinds and curtains should not be broken or torn)
- Miscellaneous items should not be on lawns/front yards (blocks, bricks, tires, etc).
- Keep the exterior of houses in good repair-windows, doors, trimwork and eaves should be in good repair
- Lawns and landscaping should be trimmed and well maintained
- If your home has edging around flowerbeds/hedges, make sure that they are properly installed and neat
- Garage doors should be in good repair
- Cars should be parked INSIDE garages or in driveways. This makes you a taarget for burglars and thieves. It also poses a hazard for emergency vehicles needing access to the neighborhood and is dangerous because it is difficult to see kids playing.
- Commercial business should not be operated outside of homes without the proper permits
- Stray dogs are a huge neighborhood problem. ALL dogs should be tagged, registered and on leashes when outside owner’s fences. Stray dogs will be picked up by the city if they are found wandering the streets. This is DANGEROUS both for your pets and for pedestrians.
